Introduction
As a UK-based software company, we are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in an open and transparent manner.
Information We Collect
When you engage with our services, we may collect personal information such as your name and email address. Completed workspace enquiries are also saved in a private, password-protected lead list, including your contact details, optional company website and phone number, form answers, submission time and qualification result. These enquiry records are separate from aggregate website statistics and are used to review and respond to your request. New workspace confirmation emails include a uniquely signed image URL to estimate whether the message was opened. We retain an image-load count and first/last detected times against the enquiry, without retaining IP addresses, browser details or email cookies for this purpose. Image loading can be automatic or blocked, so this is not proof that a person read the email. Your email app can block remote images; contact us with any privacy questions. To protect the site from abuse, we also retain the visible form fields from blocked contact attempts in a private, access-controlled review log. We do not retain CAPTCHA proofs, form-session tokens or IP addresses in that log.
Use of Your Information
We use the information you share to respond to enquiries, assess how our services fit your business, deliver our services and improve the website. Where we have permission to measure workspace enquiries with Meta, we also use limited contact details and the enquiry outcome as described below.
Website Analytics
We collect anonymous, first-party website activity to understand which pages are useful and how people find our site. This does not use advertising profiles, cross-site tracking or cookies.
Marketing Measurement
Your cookie choice controls Meta Pixel, OpenAI’s Measurement Pixel, TikTok Pixel and their advertising cookies. With marketing cookie permission, these tools can use browser and advertising click identifiers to measure which ads lead to enquiries. OpenAI’s __oppref cookie lasts up to 30 days and its __obref cookie lasts up to 365 days, subject to browser restrictions. Separately, where we have permission to measure your workspace enquiry with Meta, a successful submission from an identified external referral may be reported from our server even if you do not accept marketing cookies. Direct workspace visits and visits without an identifiable referral are excluded from Meta tracking on workspace pages. This reports a hashed version of your email address and first name, that the form was completed, whether the enquiry qualifies, the submission time, form-page address and cookie-choice status. When marketing cookies have not been accepted, this server report excludes advertising cookie IDs, IP address, browser details and advertising click identifiers. For the workspace landing page and enquiry form, TikTok Pixel measures page views, content views and successfully delivered enquiries from all visit sources, including direct visits, only after marketing-cookie acceptance. TikTok may receive browser, device, page and advertising-cookie information for these events. We do not enable TikTok automatic advanced matching or enhanced page-data collection, and our TikTok events do not include your name, email address or phone number. We do not send your message, form answers, turnover, software spending or qualification reasoning to Meta, OpenAI or TikTok. Hashing helps match records; it does not make contact details anonymous. You can change browser tracking using Cookie settings and contact us to withdraw permission for enquiry measurement. We respect Global Privacy Control signals. Other enquiry forms retain their existing marketing-consent requirement for Meta server reporting.
Pricing Location
When you visit a pricing or qualification page, we use your IP address only to identify your country and show the appropriate GBP or USD price. The Random Stuff does not store the IP address for this purpose; the country lookup is provided by IPWhois, which processes it under its own privacy policy.
Confidentiality and Access
We assure you that your information is treated with the utmost confidentiality. Access to your personal data is strictly limited to authorised personnel within The Random Stuff who are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Data Security
We implement robust security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our commitment to data security is unwavering, and we continuously review and update our practices to safeguard your information.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal information at any time. If you choose not to proceed with our services, you can request the deletion of your data, and we will comply promptly. Your privacy is our priority, and we are dedicated to respecting your choices.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or regulatory requirements. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
Workspace statistics
We collect aggregate page views, section engagement, form-step completion, qualification totals and performance measurements to improve the workspace pages. We do not retain visitor identifiers, IP addresses, typed answers, recordings or cross-visit histories in these statistics. Device, browser and country are grouped broadly. Advertising campaign IDs are included only with marketing consent. Your enquiry details are handled separately so we can reply.
Aggregate workspace statistics help us improve the page and form. No visitor identifiers, recordings or form answers are included. You can stop these statistics on this browser.
Anonymous statistics are off on this browser.
