The challenge
Kharis Church has more than 50,000 members and over 10 branches around the world, and keeping everyone informed was genuinely hard. Communication relied on collecting email addresses that people rarely check, so news about services and events kept getting missed.
Giving wasn't smooth either: each week, members had to find the website all over again just to make a donation. Too many steps, too few touchpoints.
What we built
We proposed an app that gives every branch a direct line to its members:
- Branch notifications: each branch communicates with all of its members instantly through push notifications.
- Events in one place: every service and event, with dates and locations, inside the app.
- Sermon library: the latest sermons and teachings from the church’s history, available anytime.
- Effortless giving: donations in a few taps through Tithely integration, no more hunting for the website each week.
The difference
The partnership between The Random Stuff and Kharis Ministries continues to thrive, with plans to enhance the app further with interactive features, new content, and tools for deeper spiritual engagement.
- Over 4,000 downloads in the first 48 hours of launch.
- Far more members keep up with what's going on, the latest sermons, the next service and its location.
- Giving is now a few taps, not a weekly search for the website.
